I had to put my little Felix to sleep two years ago this month. He was a few weeks shy of his 22nd birthday. He was my baby, and thankfully, God took most of my grief away immediately. I still haven't gotten rid of some of his furniture. He had his own cabinet in the kitchen. I did give away the remainder of his Fancy Feast dinners to a cat shelter, but it's still full of his dishes.
I have his ashes in a beautiful wood container on my living room mantel. He sits right next to his younger brother Mergatroid, whom we lost 11 years ago.
I know this pain, but it will eventually pass and you will remember the good times.

Thanks for letting us know. What a shame. She had just written about Sneakers recently too.
