I repost this entry from February 10th.
Quite a few Cathy's around in J-land - this lady uses the screenname chatzeekay and writes Life and Lessons.
She is trying to cope with the effects of brain-damage following two
accidents. Her journal is not easy to read (a result of her injury), but like anyone else mentioned on here more than deserving of our moral support.

Thanks for the call to support. Dealing with brain injury/trauma is a hugely difficult things as I know of a few people who have had to deal with that. It is sad, b/c the trauma to a head not only affects intellectual ability, but also mood stability (ie depression), and usually causes anger also. The individual often knows of their disabilities and limits to a degree also, and they are very saddened and very frustrated. And so are family members. And they remember things lost. It is a very sad situation. On the other hand, there is hope for everybody. I visited her blog, and told her that she should hang in there, and that she was okay. B/c after all, the most important thing in our life is not how intelligent we are, or our abilities, it is how we treat others. She is a special person... May God be with her...

Will pop over and check it out.
Thanks for the heads up

I can understand how Cathy feels. I am also one of those people who suffered a brain injury/damage 20 yrs. ago on my 25th b-day in an accident involving a semi-truck. I suffer with memory loss, trying to figure out the words I want to verbalize, bipolar depression, and anger. I'm not a very good writer in my journal so I don't write everyday. I'll pop over there.
